Absent-mindedness means forgetfulness that is when a person finds it difficult to stay focused. If you can not focus on daily routine activities, forget what someone asks you to do, can’t pay attention to your studies, your mind diverts your attention from what you are going to do, find it difficult to attentively listen to your teacher in school, fails to recall what you are supposed to remember then it means you are absent-minded.
SIMPLE HACKS TO GET RID OF ABSENT MINDEDNESS:
- 30 DAYS CHALLENGE:
It is a simple technique that will help you in staying focus and will help you solve the problems that arise because of your absent-mindedness. Mark a circle on paper of approximately 2 to 3cm in diameter and stick that paper on the wall of your room or decide a particular thing or spot in your room and daily you have to look (more precisely stare at) it continuously without letting any thought run your mind.
Do it daily for 30 seconds and increase the time gradually up to 30 days. After 30 days, you will see a clear difference.
- GET ENOUGH SLEEP:
According to scientific findings, a person must get enough sleep of approximately 6-8 hours at night. If you sleep late at night, your mind can not get fully charged and hence can not function properly. Similarly, if you sleep the whole day and stay awake the whole night you are doing absolutely wrong. Daytime sleep can never be a substitute for night sleep. Sometimes shifting the time of sleep also presents problems. Going early to bed can help you get rid of absent-mindedness.
How to do it? Initially, you may find it difficult to sleep early if you are not habitual of it. But try to do so for 3 to 4 days and then due to the natural circadian rhythm of the body, you will become habitual of it shortly.

The biggest distraction in the present world is the technology that is the internet, gadgets, etc. Mostly it happens people keep on using the phone in between the essential task they are performing. During study turn off the television, switch off the phone, close the door of your room and then study peacefully. By limiting the distractions, you will overcome your forgetfulness.
- DIET AND EXERCISE:
If you are iron deficient or malnourished, you may feel lethargic and may find it difficult to stay focused. You may become sluggish and can’t pay attention successfully. Shift to a healthy diet. Use fresh fruits and vegetables. Take 7 almond kernels every morning. Avoid fast foods. Keep yourself hydrated with enough water intake.
Go for a walk in the morning and inhale fresh air. Your body organs and brain will get enough oxygen and you’ll do well throughout the day. Exercise for 15 to 20 minutes will also increase the circulation of blood to your body parts and may help fix your problem.

- PUT EVERDAY USE ITEMS ON SAME PLACE:
Try to put the essentials you need every day in the same place. For example, wallet, keys, wristwatch, diary pen handbag or briefcase, and credit cards, etc. after returning home, place these things in the same drawer from where you pick them in the morning.
